I wanted to give this a fair test before writing a review.I bought 2 of them because of other reviews, but in hindsight it was not needed. The video review is correct, it snaps on snaps off, the tether holds it well to the gopro. and for argument sake this product was used on a gopro 3 black edition (not the 3 ) with the older 3 dive housing with a lcd bacpac. I took the filter to Ohau, Hawaii for a 2 week vacation, and took it everywhere because I never knew when I would get into the Blue/Green water.Was exactly as shown, black with the red filter and tether. Snapped on/off easily never broke, but has a backup just in case. Works well with the bacpac on the gopro 3 black, when attached it was red and then seconds later the screen clears up in normal daylight and its as if the filter is not even on. The filter survived the whole trip with repeatedly on/off in the water, out of the water. When in the water at the right depth the filter is seemless, below 10-15 ft but not at the surface 1-9 ft there was a tint in my video at the shallower water. But that is simply solved take the filter off and edit that video. In my option worth the price, compared to the more expense ones, it worked for my vacation and my amateur purposes. Yes the red filter is a film not hard plastic but that did not affect it filming capability and I caught some great sea-turtle an marine life video. Mahalo
